We ceased trading as estate agents on 31 December 2011, which means that the only property we have for sale is our own. Needless to say, we think it's a fantastic deal: a fully modernised town house in the centre of Ribérac, one of the Dordogne's most popular towns. With four/five bedrooms and four bathrooms, plus a profusion of reception rooms, garden, swimming-pool and garaging at the rear of the house, it provides spacious and comfortable accommodation. What's more, we have taken account of present market conditions and written down our original investment of 700,000 euros to a sale price of 550,000 euros. Ribérac's a pleasant market town in the Dordogne, located 56 km (about an hour's drive) north from Bergerac airport and 121 km east from Bordeaux's Mérignac airport. Angoulême, capital of the Charente, and its railway station for the TGV is 54 km to the north. Périgueux, capital of the Dordogne, is 37 km to the east. Flights from the UK and Ireland come into Bordeaux (British Airways, Aer Lingus and Easyjet). UK flights also come in to Bergerac, via Ryanair. If you prefer the train, you can take the Eurostar and change either in Lille or Paris to come down to Angoulême, where you can pick up a hire car. Cars can also be hired from the airports in Bordeaux and Bergerac. If you're coming to the north of the department, it's worth checking out flights via Ryanair to Limoges. |
