In the property descriptions the number of bedrooms may be described as 3/4 or 4 + 2. In the first case (3/4), this means that there are three bedrooms currently in use but a fourth area which is either currently used for another purpose or is capable of being used or adapted for use as a bedroom. In the second case (4+2) this means that there are four bedrooms in a main house and two further bedrooms in an adjoining building. The adjoining building may be a maison d'amis or a gîte. In the case of a three bedroom house with two two-bedroom gîtes, for example, the number of bedrooms will be shown as 3 + 2 + 2.
